Dubbed "Financial Literacy for OFW's: Learning from the Case of OFW's in Korea," the seminar started with the viewing of the financial literacy video from the Philippine Embassy in Seoul, Korea.

In a news release, the DFA said the financial literacy seminar aims to develop awareness among OFWs in Macau on the importance of financial management, particularly the value of saving and investing for the future.

It was the first of a series of seminars to be conducted this year under the Gender and Development Program of the consulate.

An open forum followed, with representatives from the Social Security System (SSS), Pag-IBIG, Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) and Overseas Workers Welfare Association (OWWA).
